I joined HOME AND AWAY in 2004 as Dan Baker, and the left the series in late 2007. Dan came to Summer Bay to visit his brother Peter [Nic Bishop] who was in a coma. What he didn't realise is that he would soon fall in love with Leah [Ada Nicodemou].

Dan was a 'no nonsense' kind of guy. Dan is a very likeable bloke. He has great deal of integrity in his work, his life and his relationship with Leah.

His love for Leah couldn’t have come at a better time in his life, since Dan discovers his ex wife, who has custody of his son Ryan in LA, had an affair with his brother Peter a few years ago. Dan’s love life took a back seat after this to concentrate on his career as a councilor and wasn’t expecting to stay in Summer Bay, but his instant love for Leah cancelled all other plans of travel.  It has also lead him to resolve years of separation and silence with his once close brother.

Dan has experienced everything in Summer Bay.  Cyclones, a major car accident, an on again off again marriage, recovered from a disastrous gambling addiction, but hey, what else happens in sleepy coastal towns?!?!... And who knows if Dan will ever return to the Bay. Yes Dan died overseas, but we all know Summer Bay, and you just never know!

Funnily enough, my very first TV role was also on HOME AND AWAY ... while still at school in 1993 I played the role of Brad, the Yabbie Creek soccer player.
